It's a lamp. It turns off and on. Better than not having a lamp, but also not the best lamp I've ever owned.

I love my Joybird couch, I went to the showroom in Philadelphia and was greeted by knowledgeable and kind associates that sat with me for an hour going through fabric swatches. I love the color, the shape and its firm yet comfy. I also love the wide arm rests.
